DISCOVER THE MARGARET RIVER REGION FROM PERTH

Travel south from Perth through scenic farmland dotted with grazing cattle and coastal townships before arriving in Busselton, the gateway to the Margaret River region. Here, enjoy a morning tea stop (own expense) at the iconic Busselton Jetty, a heritage-listed landmark stretching over 1.8 kilometres into Geographe Bay and recognised as the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere . This stop offers a memorable introduction to the region and is a highlight for those joining a busselton jetty tour as part of a full-day experience.

WINE, CAVES AND COASTAL LANDSCAPES

Continuing into the heart of the region, the journey includes a visit to one of Margaret River’s boutique breweries for lunch (venue may change due to operational requirements), along with complimentary beer and cider tastings. Prior to lunch, there is also an opportunity to sample locally produced wines, offering a taste of what makes this region internationally recognised.

The experience then moves to Mammoth Cave, where a guided tour reveals vast chambers and provides insight into the area’s natural history, including its unique flora and fauna. Travelling further south through the Boranup Forest, known for its towering Karri trees, the tour reaches Augusta. At Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, take in the rare meeting point of the Southern and Indian Oceans, one of the region’s most distinctive natural features.

A FULL-DAY EXPERIENCE THROUGH THE SOUTH WEST

The journey continues north to Margaret River township for a brief stop to explore the main street before returning to Perth. With a comfort stop along the way, the day concludes in the evening, offering a well-rounded experience of the region’s key highlights.

This itinerary reflects the diversity of margaret river tours, combining natural attractions, local produce, and scenic landscapes into a single, comprehensive day trip from Perth.
