This week, Chief Explorer Peter took his family down to Cottesloe Beach to see all the amazing exhibitions in this year’s Sculpture By The Sea.
Seeing the sculptures was a great free family day out with restaurants and ice cream shops handy near by.

About Sculpture By The Sea, Cottesloe:
Sculpture By The Sea is an annual exhibit from sculptors around the world, right on the beach at Cottesloe. This year, there are 78 artists from 16 countries.
Getting To And Around Cottesloe
There are regular buses and trains from various destinations around Perth. Visit the Transperth website for more information.
Cott Cat Shuttle Bus:
The Cott Cat is a free shuttle bus running between Cottesloe Train Station and Cottesloe Beach for the duration of the exhibition.
There are various designated parking areas around Cottesloe, which do get full during busy periods. A good tip is to park at the train station and catch the Cott Cat to the beach.
Eating and Drinking
Bring a picnic, bbq or eat out any of the great cafes nearby – remember to grab a delicious ice cream or frozen yoghurt while you are there.
With so many great pieces to see, why not head down to Cottesloe Beach and have a wonder around – you couldn’t get a better backdrop than the beautiful ocean.
