The Amazing Valley Chase is a super fun way to explore the Swan Valley. Starting at the Swan Valley Visitor Centre, follow the clues on a mystery tour through the Swan Valley on the hunt for clues which takes about 3 hours. Your family will receive a certificate and each child receives a prize at the end.
Cycling in the Swan Valley:
It’s the perfect time of year to grab your bike and experience the Swan Valley in a different light. Cycling is a great way to take in the rich history, stop for a picnic along the way and experience the wide-open space from a different view. HISTORY & MUSEUMS
Land grants began as early as 1821 in the Swan Valley due to the fertile soil in the region and there are some great historical buildings to see in Guilford.
A visit to Whiteman Park is definitely in order with the Revolutions Transport Heritage Museum, the Motor Museum of Western Australia and the Tractor Museum of Western Australia all there to visit. The Revolutions Museum features over 2000 artifacts showing how transport revolutionised WA, whilst the Motor Museum features restored vehicles from a horse-drawn carriage to the modern vehicles. The Tractor Museum of Western Australia has nearly 40 tractors on display showcasing the farming history of the region through the ages. Find out more.

Colonial Gaol and Taylor’s Cottage was a workman’s cottage during the 1800’s and is now open for public tours. The Old Colonial Gaol gives good insight into the early days of the colony with some great artifacts from history on display. Find out more here.
