Continuing on from Our New Perth Developments for 2018, we have put together a list of some of the fantastic new places to eat, drink and enjoy some of Perth’s finest local produce in 2018.
2017 saw some fabulous new additions to the Perth Restaurant and Drinking scene with the opening of the Whitfods Shopping Centre outdoor dining precinct, complete with Micro-brewery bar followed by Henry Summer, Northbridge (for fabulous brekkys), Canteen in Cottesloe (fab pizzas), Ascua, in Perth (Spanish sophistication) and Sakura Sake in Northbridge (traditional Japanese dining) just to name a few. This year, there are some fantastic new additions:
With a love for authentic street food, Streets Eats Eatery offer cart inspired food from around the globe from their home in Yagan Square. From tacos to pizza and Thai chicken omelets, they have you covered for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and you can have it all surrounded by graffiti murals and eclectic art pieces. They also feature regular live music and a good drinks menu to tempt all taste buds.
Wheat Street Cafe offers reasonably priced, full of flavour pasta dishes, salads, and bruschettas, all European inspired plus a good wine list.
Jersey Jack Gelato, Yagan Square
True hand-crafted Italian gelato for a true italian experience with all the best flavours to tempt and tease your taste buds!
This new donut concept store allows you to design your own topping their famous Bomboloni Donuts. Fantastic delicious looking gift boxes filled with goodies are also on offer.
The Honeycake sells fantastic light honey flavoured cakes. Yagan Square is the fourth store selling these wonderful treats.
This is the second CBD store offering locally sources, clean eating breakfast, lunch and dinner and are dairy and gluten-free.
Heno & Rey, Corner of Hay St & King St, Perth
Heno & Rey is a new Spanish tapas theme restaurant, also offering breakfast.
Tiisch, found on the corner of Hay St and Milligan St) is a cafe style bistro serving breakfast lunch and dinner, in a simple but imaginative way.
Offshoot, run by the team from Mary Street Bakery, is a new boutique coffee roaster, also offering sandwiches and pastries.
Haqiqa features a menu fused with Moroccan, Mediterranean and Greek flavours, a rooftop garden sanctuary all in the centre of Perth.
Graham Arthur is the brains behind this all day eatery offering modern Australian cuisine, beautiful surroundings, and great city light views.
Guy Grossi’s Garum has just opened in Hibernian Place. Showcasing Italian rustic cuisine, the menu only uses local WA produce.
Expanding from its home in Melbourne, Huxtaburger is now in Hibernian Place offering juicy beef burgers, sweet bread buns, and some epic fries.
When Raine Square opens in Perth, it will offer a fantastic dining and entertainment space in Perth, complete with convenient grocery shopping, cinemas, take away outlets and restaurants with seating. The retail precinct is said to open in mid-2018 and Autumn should yield the opening of the dining precinct. Keep an eye out here once the restaurants are confirmed 🙂
La Vida Urbana – 228 Carr Place, Leederville.
This delicious Mexican joint has just recently opened up in Leederville and are open for breakfast lunch and dinner – expect a Mexican twist.
A new addition to Dunsborough, Yarri is a fantastic restaurant and bar features sustainably sourced ingredients prepared for you by chef Aaron Carr. The wine list has a great selection of locally produced wines and craft beer from Eagle Bay Brewing Company.
