New Perth Developments for 2018

Perth is evolving and it is fantastic to see it grow! With new shopping precincts popping up in the city, fantastic world-class hotels and great new restaurants and bars, Perth offers a unique holiday getaway filled with unique accommodation options and dining experiences.


2017 saw some fantastic new hotel offerings open up to Perth including boutique hotels like the contemporary  Tribe Hotel and independent Alex Hotel, and the global brand Intercontinental Hotel situated in the King Street precinct, being a huge hit.

In 2018, we expect to see further hotels opening their doors offering visitors to Perth fantastic variety and choice in their hotel pleasures.

Hilton in Elizabeth Quay
DoubleTree by Hilton, on the banks of the Swan River, is due for completion in September 2018. This 241 room hotel will feature panoramic views of the river and the city and will become a Perth foreshore landmark. Built on the banks of Swan River and it will be a landmark of Perth foreshore.

Westin Hotel, FESA House
The five-star Westin hotel is set to open towards the middle of 2018 and can be found right on Hay Street, in the heart of Perth. It will be a great option for business and leisure visitors and will offer entertainment and retail opportunities as well.

Ritz Carlton Hotel

Perfectly positioned overlooking the beautiful Swan River and Elizabeth Quay, the Ritz Carlton is set to open mid 2019. Featuring 204 luxury suites and fantastic amenities, this hotel is a fantastic addition to Perth.

Entertainment Sector

With the opening of the fantastic new Perth Stadium in East Perth (Burswood) early in January 2018 and some fantastic new eateries,  Perth has no shortage of entertainment hotspots and restaurants to follow for 2018.

Raine Square

Raine Square is set to become a new Perth landmark shopping and entertainment area, conveniently situated in the heart of the city right by the Train Station and close to other amenities. Seven days a week shopping, nightlife, restaurants and fantastic hotel frontage restorations are all part of this fantastic new development. Set to open in May 2018, we can’t wait to see this fantastic new city drawcard come to fruition.

Yagan Square
Yagan Square, found next to the horse shoe bridge between Perth and Northbridge, is set to become a fantastic meeting, community and celebration space packed with restaurants, entertainment, cafes and shopping options. Opening in February 2018, Yagan Square will be a great place to check out.


Forrest Chase Redevelopment

Forrest Chase is undergoing a huge renovation to bring a wealth of alfresco dining and shopping precincts into the heart of the city. Phase one of this preject should be ready towards the end of 2018 and we are super excited to see it.

Kings Square Renewal
Kings Square is set to transform Fremantle by 2019, offering retail, dining and new commercial spaces and a city square – complete with a new Visitor Centre to make sure visitors get the most from Western Australia.

Scarborough Beach
Situated just 15-minutes north of Perth CBD, Scarborough is undergoing a fantastic revitalisation project to become a beachfront destination of choice. New restaurants, entertainment and shops will line the beachfront overlooking the ocean. The star of the show is the new Scarborough Pool facility opening in early 2018.
