This Chinese New Year 2019 brings in the year of the Pig and Perth has lots of exciting things planned to celebrate. Chinese New Year events in Perth runs for 2 weeks from 5 February 2019 and include Lion dancing, special entertainment, and fantastic lunar inspired restaurant specials – ensuring plenty to keep you occupied this lunar new year. 2018 Chinese New Year Events in Perth

Chinese New Year at Brookfield Place | 16 February

Kicking off at 11:30am, follow the lion as he journeys through the city precinct offering blessings and warding off evil spirits. The Lion dance features performers from the Ging Mo Academy and a  spectacular array of colour, dance and noise. For a quieter Chinese New Year, admire the traditional lanterns adorning the trees on the podium level of Heritage Square and the canopy of kites over the grassed area of the Main Square. Chinese New Year at Crown Casino – Burswood | 16, 17, 18, 24, 25 February @ 7pm

Enjoy a live lion dance performance including professional musicians and Kung-Fu practitioners in the Crown Metropol lobby. Don’t miss the spectacular Wishing Tree display and the zodiac trail. Find out more.

Chinese New Year – Sorrento Quay Boardwalk

      Hi Beau, apologies for the delayed response. I am sure you heard about the very sad plane crash and that the scheduled fireworks were cancelled. The City of Perth does usually put on Fireworks every year.

        Hi Chris, as far as we know all the Chinese New Year Events in Perth have already taken place. We would suggest contacting the local council for Burswood to confirm that?
